According to New York Post’s famous Page Six gossip column, several of the president-elect’s advisors have been encouraging Trump to dance with former Olympic athlete turned right wing trans activist, Caitlyn Jenner, at the inauguration.
Many key aids feel that if the Republican president is seen dancing with the famous trans woman, it could possibly “heal” the division between LGBTQ Americans and the GOP.
“It’s a brilliant idea,” said an anonymous Trump staffer.
“The image of Trump dancing with Caitlyn would send a strong message that he supports gay rights and trans rights,” the aide said. “A picture is worth a thousand tweets.”
When Jenner’s publicist was asked whether the dance would happen, he had no answer.
“Can’t deal in hypotheticals,” the rep said. “We’ll just have to wait and see.”
According to Mediaite.com, “Jenner will be attending the Inauguration, according to People, as a guest of the American Unity Fund — a conservative nonprofit that works for advancing the cause of freedom and equal opportunity for LGBTQ Americans.”
On Wednesday, Jenner tweeted, “Republicans need help understanding LGBTQ issues and I’m here to help!”
